John was out grooming all of our trails yesterday after the heavy traffic this last weekend. He said that they were very used and needed the grooming. He started early at 1am to get ahead of warmer temps. That is what happens as we get closer to spring. John said there were 4 vehicles in the Groomer Shed parking lot, so some were out enjoying the trails. We will be back out grooming again soon.
Scott and I had to get a Jeep off the Bailey Road late yesterday also. I asked him to ride out and see what the area looked like. He thought that the side by side would pull it out but it did not. So I went up and met them and had to pull Scott’s side by side out because he lost some wheels and one track was off. We then went up and around and came in on the other end of the Bailey Road and backed in to the Jeep. We hooked up and the Jeep came out really easy. The owner said that he would help push, I told him that was not going to help but if it made him feel better that was fine. He did but it was not long before we were pulling away from him. When we were going in I asked how he did not see the Road not maintained and your GPS is wrong he said he was watching his GPS. Then we came to the Road Closed on a big orange sign and I asked if he saw that sign and he said yes but I just blew through it! There was only a short distance left an thought that the Jeep would make it! I hope he does not do more things like that again. We had him on the plowed road by 6pm. We did try and to see if Mount Holly wanted to get it out as that is their trail system and while up there we think we saw their drag at a house up there. They never responded that I know of.
