Between the efforts of Ray and Dad and my grooming on Saturday the trails are looking a lot better. The water bars are really filling nicely for the most of them. Unfortunately from what I have heard I guess we did not get as much snow as our neighbors to the north of Route 4. We have scraped and grabbed as much snow from the sides as we can but, at this point I think we will have to wait for a little more snow to do any more grooming,at least in the lower elevations. We are hoping that the storm late next week will hit us with some more snow.
I did see several riders out late yesterday and all were very happy to be able to ride this early as this does not always happen. I was too busy grooming and forgot to get any photos but I went up on the Wheelerville Road to see if the trails firmed up and took a few intersection photos. The temperature was -12 degrees and calm at the time and the trail was firmed up from yesterdays grooming and even as thin as it is, it looked nice and flat and white!
Well sorry I am having photo issues but you can see them on our Smug Mug page under 2017-2018 grooming. If I can fix it I will post them later.
I do want to wish every one a Happy and Safe New Year! I hope that 2018 is a great year for every one!
Ride Safely and Ride Right!
