Trail Report March 16, 2026

Last week before we received 2 to 3 inches of snow. Just not enough to make the season last longer.

Well we held out as long as possible but with the trail conditions deteriorating and getting more dangerous we have to close the trails today. Riders have told us the snow bridges and water bars are opening up and the rain earlier did damage to the trails leaving ruts. We did not get the amount of snow we were hoping for and there were bare areas  before so it did not help much to extend the season. Hope every one had a good season! It started a little late and ended too soon but when it was here the trails were very nice and held up very well. We had a lot of nice comments from you. I just looked it up and we had to close the trails last year on March 17th. Hopefully next year it will last longer! If you liked what you saw with our great signage or our groomed trails let VAST know with nominating the Sno-Birds for the best signed trails or the best groomed trails. The club is small but we put a lot of effort into the trail system.

It does not take much to show the ground under the 2 to 3 inches of snow we received on the Arthur Trail!
