The first meeting is on Sept 5, at the Franklin Conference Center in the Howe Center. It starts at 6:00 pm and goes to 8:00 pm. It would be nice to have some VAST members there to voice our concerns or at least to show more than just one person in our club has issues with more regulations. We hope to see you there. If you go to the VAST web site you can see more info. If you enjoy the sport of snowmobiling think about attending.
I just saw a post on our face book page from John Keough saying that the riding is still good and should be good for the last weekend. The photo he took looks really good! Check it out! If you do go out use caution as I imagine that all areas are not as good as others. This is the last weekend before the gates get locked so ride while you can!
Here are a few photos I took last Sunday afternoon. I was trying to lock gates where there was no snow. The only one I did lock was at the Notch Road Parking lot. You can get around the gate with sleds, I saw truck tracks so I wanted to stop them.
We received 8″ at our shop on Post Rd in Rutland Town. Let us know what you have! We will be out packing the trails as soon as possible, but for you powder riders go out and enjoy. The more you pack them the easier for us in the Tucker, not in one groove only though. As many tracks wide as possible.
Ride Safely and Ride Right!
I just got back from helping plowing out and smoothing the snow for the sliding party. Joe Casella took his hand at it also, he has a lot more experience with that type of leveling ground with equipment. I learned a few things from him. The sliding lanes look great as usual and the temps are great for outdoor activities so if you can go down tonight and check it out! They have music and much more! Hopefully I will have some photos to show later.
