Trail Report March 1, 2020

Dad and I replaced the winch cable on Friday and then went out and groomed the Upper Trails. I went back out late yesterday afternoon and groomed the rest of 4&7 and 407 to the red gate gust past RD 651 due to the low snow conditions in that area. I did not want to scrape it too thin . Most every thing looks really good but there are some spots that there was no snow to improve the bumps. There was about 5 to 6 inches of fresh snow up in the higher elevations and much less down low. I had a tree to get out of another tree that it was hung up in and then cut it up and remove it from the trail just past the last bridge on 4&7 before you start climbing Jockey. Go and ride today as the temps are great and the sun is out now. Let us know what you think about the trails. Here are some photos I took.

Ride Safely and Ride Right!

The tree was just hanging there after I cut the bottom. So I went around it and pulled it down.

And it is down!

And now it is gone!

4&7 in Wheelervile, it is thin but smooth.

It’s almost 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon and I had a couple hours to kill so I hooked up the trailer and headed for the groomer shed parking lot and unloaded. It was great to see so much snow up there compared to what there is it my house down in the valley. I only had about one hour I could ride so I rode the 407& 7 loop and then back up over jockey and over to the CCC Road, up Black Swamp and looped back to the groomer shed parking lot. As always, Shrewsbury Sno-Birds gets a big A+ for trail conditions. You people work very hard and I can’t thank you enough for all you do to make snowmobiling so much fun!

PS. It’s always nice to see and chat with Mr. & Mrs. Arthur, wonderful people!
