View from the Cab – Video
I shortended this video down to a resonable length. It starts out just after Roy completed our first impassable icy hill by winching the Tucker and the nearly 2 ton grooming drag up the hill using trees for anchors. He did this first one in one or two pulls without much help from me. Little …
Video of Winching on Saturday Grooming
Roy obviously was experienced winching the groomer up the hills but we both got extra practice on Saturday. Be careful out there. You can’t even stand up on those icy hills and I’m afraid we pollished off any traction that may have been there. See the process in these vídeos.
GPS Path of Trails Groomed Saturday
Here is a map of the trails groomed yesterday. My GPS worked well most of the time but there are straight lines on the map below that indicate when it did not. Even so it gives you an idea of the trail locations on a map or arial view. Please don’t fool with this little …
Security Upgrade
Due to recent internet attacks directed at WordPress sites, I have had to stiffen up security. This can have unfortunate effects on regular website viewers. If you experience trouble accessing the site, please drop us an email to the regular “Email Us” link detailing what happened. Thanks, Cliff
Photos from Years Past
Roy has started a new gallery called Photos of Years Past. He is threatening to break out his scanner and add some pre-digital photos. You can beat him to it and upload your old snowmobiling shots to our SmugMug site using the Photo Upload Link in …
Our First Year
WordPress is kind enough to supply us with a very decorative year-end statistics page they call an “Annual Report.” I hesitate to use this term because this annual report is worth seeing if not for learning the numbers, the graphics alone are strictly awesome! …
New Photo of Sleds
Our Trailmaster uploaded this new photo of sleds on the trail. With it I have created a new gallery of 2012/2013 Sleds. Please upload some shots from the trails so we can have a gallery of more than one lonely photo! Also I’ve spruced up our SmugMug gallery with this photo featured, some featured galleries …
Photos of Snowmobiling Wanted!
Please support your club and upload!
Here we are, a snowmobiling club web site with almost no photos of snowmobiles! Hard to believe, but true. Dave has uploaded some great ones (right), enough so we made his own gallery. Please upload full size photos. (Link for more instructions at the end.) This way when they are viewed …
Enthusiastic about Smooth Trails
I attended the club’s meeting on Tuesday and I have to say the club members are not just enthusiastic about snowmobiling but really make a concerted effort to make smooth trails. Starting with grading and maintaining the trails in off-season, acquiring the right grooming equipment and finishing the process with extremely talented groomer operators who …
First Grooming Photos
The above slide show is of the photos recently uploaded to our SmugMug site showing the packer attachment. I’ve included a lightened version of the photo to make the packer more visible. Click the slide show to see the gallery in SmugMug. Perhaps our TrailMaster will add some comments on how this interesting attachment works. …
